PHASE 04: USABILITY TESTING

Testing with Real Users

Project #4 Case Study

This stage focused on evaluating the usability of SMARTINTERN by allowing real users to interact with the prototype and provide valuable feedback for future improvements.

Project Name

SMARTINTERN

Participants

University Students

Focus Area

Usability Testing

Timeline

Week 12

After completing the prototype, we invited several users to test the SMARTINTERN application. Each participant was asked to perform common tasks such as exploring internship listings, viewing internship details, and navigating through the application.

During the testing process, we carefully observed users' interactions and recorded their comments regarding navigation, interface clarity, and overall user experience. In addition to collecting qualitative feedback, we used the System Usability Scale (SUS) to quantitatively evaluate the usability of the SMARTINTERN application. After completing the testing tasks, participants answered the standard 10-item SUS questionnaire, and the responses were calculated to obtain an overall usability score.

The insights gathered from real users enabled us to refine the interface, improve usability, and ensure that SMARTINTERN provides a more intuitive and efficient experience for future users. The insights gathered from real users, together with the SUS results, enabled us to identify both the strengths and areas that required improvement. The SUS score provided a quantitative measure of the application's usability, while users' comments offered valuable qualitative feedback to support further enhancements. Based on these findings, we refined the interface, improved usability, and ensured that SMARTINTERN provides a more intuitive and efficient experience for future users.

Usability Evaluation Metric
